9th Annual Shore Team Crab Feast

On Sunday, May 5, 2013, Delegates Addie Eckardt, Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio and I will be hosting our 9th Annual Shore Team Crab Feast, which will be held at the Cambridge American Legion Post #91 (adjacent to the Choptank River/Malkus Bridge) beginning at 1:30 PM and ending at 3:30 PM.

A Crab Feast in the spring? Yes, you heard it correctly. We are proud to announce that the crabs will be hot, the beer cold, and the Eastern Shore chicken delicious. We want to break the grip of the season’s cold weather and ...provide an unseasonable respite from the otherwise drab days of mid-spring. We also want to honor two of the greatest and oldest industries of Maryland, seafood and agriculture. Addie, Jeannie and I have spent many years in the Maryland General Assembly fighting against government over regulations and issues for our citizens, farmers, watermen, and businesses.

While the event is slated as a “fundraiser,” you can’t have the word fundraiser without the fun! Our friends “Byrd Dog and the Road Kings” will be providing the musical entertainment. There will also be a silent auction featuring items from local businesses.

Take an early summer vacation and bring the whole family to their first 2013 Shore Team crab feast! Don’t forget to bring your knives and crab mallets! Tickets are $50 per person with special discounts for sponsors. To purchase tickets, please send a check made payable to A Shore Team to A Shore Team, attn: David Short, PO Box 1719, Easton, MD 21601. Please RSVP by April 27, 2013. Tickets sell out fast so reserve yours now! The contributions made to A Shore Team will go toward our campaign allowing us to continue to work hard for the citizens of the Eastern Shore in Annapolis.

Thanks so much for your continued support. I look forward to seeing you on May 5!
